The Office of Circular Economy is responsible for leading policy and initiatives to elevate Queensland’s resource recovery performance to one of the best in Australia by developing and implementing actions that recognise the value of waste to the economy as well as facilitate investment in innovation, processing facilities and market development. The department is seeking motivated and collaborative professionals to contribute to this significant agenda.
Your Contribution
This role is responsible for designing and implementing the Queensland Government's waste and resource recovery data collation, monitoring and reporting arrangements (including associated information technology systems). You will collate and analyse business intelligence from internal and external stakeholders and partners to support the department's evidence-based decision-making and meet our statutory reporting requirements.
You will be responsible for implementing the data analytics, and information and technical platform management and reporting program of work. You will also be a key team member responsible for significant projects and ongoing work, such as the annual Recycling and Waste in Queensland report, the implementation of new circular economy data capture initiatives and the operation of IT systems and applications, as well as identifying new and creative ways to collate, analyse and share data and information.
