Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with a strong background in managing complex projects within the Oracle ERP/CRM/EPM ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle ERP/CRM/EPM Application Implementations and migrations, Technical and Application upgrades, and On-Prem to Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OCI) In-depth knowledge and Oracle Cloud Architecture is essential. Candidates should have a proven track record of turning complex business challenges into effective technical solutions. The role involves significant travel (50%-70%) within the US and Caribbean Islands.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a complex, multi-year ERP transformation for a prestigious client --a leading luxury travel and resorts brand in the Caribbean, with properties in the most sought-after locations. You will be at the forefront of revolutionizing their business processes and technology infrastructure, contributing to the growth and modernization of an iconic brand. Industry experience in Travel, Hospitality, and Tourism is a significant advantage, adding depth and context to your project management expertise. Moreover, you will interface with a seasoned client leadership team with a rich history in financial management and strategic development, providing a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.
Essential Functions:
- Project Management: Manage cross-functional projects for clients, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Use both Agile and Waterfall methodologies tailored to project needs.
- Budget Oversight: Oversee project budgets and drive course corrections to maintain financial control for items within your responsibility.
- Team Coordination: Organize and lead internal business groups to effectively manage and implement projects, while managing customer expectations and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Portfolio Management: Simultaneously manage a diverse portfolio of unrelated projects, providing transparency and regular updates to both clients and Datavail management.
- Schedule Development: Develop integrated project schedules, including critical paths, and ensure that assigned resources are executing as planned.
- Multi-Tasking: Enhance team environments by effectively multitasking and fostering collaboration and communication among team members.
- Change Control: Monitor, track, and control changes to projects through formal change management processes. This includes managing requirements, configuration, performance measures, cost, schedule, program organization structure, and technology environment (e.g., release schedules, infrastructure changes).
Key Skills:
- Must have experience in implementation in Hospitality and/or Casino industry
- Hands-on / roll sleeves up work ethic, team player willing to take on work needed for project to succeed, willing to go beyond the project management role if needed (help create documents, presentations, etc.).
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to interface and report status with client leadership (C-Suite)
- Experience successfully managing implementation projects preferably Cloud ERP, EPM, Reporting and Oracle EBS on prem.
- Oracle Cloud Implementation Certification (Cloud Infrastructure or Cloud SaaS Implementation) is a big plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage (lead and direct) and execute projects through application of best practices.
- Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Develops solutions to unique challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions.
- Decision making that has positively affected the financial posture of the company.
- Able to lead projects from a position of experience and drive successful outcomes.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Data analytics/data warehousing specific knowledge
- Waterfall & Agile project methodology experience required
Experience:
- 10 or more years Project/Program Management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5+ years managing application implementation/upgrade and infrastructure transition to Cloud projects (Applicable applications: Oracle Cloud, Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft.
- At least 4+ ERP implementation projects or ERP Infrastructure upgrade or transition projects; full implementation cycles
- At least 2 projects with over 9 months of duration
- At least 3 projects with budget over $1 million
- Must have experience and be adept and leading globally sourced project teams as we use a global delivery model.
- Bachelor's degree, Business or Technical or a related field of study.
- 10 years professional services experience with leading projects for external or internal customers.
- Data Warehouse or Analytics project implementation experience required.
- PMP or Agile certified required
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of the following preferred platforms to plan, manage, execute, and measure projects; Oracle ERP/CRM/EPM Application (On Prem & Cloud) Implementations and migrations, Technical and Application upgrades, On Prem to Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OCI), ERP Roadmap & Strategy. Infrastructure/Application knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud Architecture
