Job Description

NSF is seeking an experienced Sr. FSSC 22000 Certified Food Safety Auditor to support the Supply Chain Food Safety Division. As a FSSC 22000 Certified Food Safety Auditor you will plan and conduct all assessment activities - documenting reviews (desk audits), preliminary assessments (baseline audits), on-site readiness reviews, registration audits and surveillance audits.

  • Generating innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.
  • Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise
  • Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed
  • Travel up to 75%

Qualifications

  • 4 Yr. Degree (Relevant degree or higher education course (e.g. Diploma) in food related or bioscience-related discipline (includes general microbiology)
  • HACCP training (ideally a 2-day industry-relevant course)
  • FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor Training (completion of a 40 hours/ 5-day course and exam)
  • FSSC Certified Auditor
  • PCQI Certificate
  • Minimum 5-10 years of previous Auditor/Industry Experience
  • Effective oral communication
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to work independently, follow through on all assignments and meet deadlines
  • Schemes: FSSC Packaging/FSSC
