Job description

This is a remote position.

40 hours a week
Mon-Fri 8am-5pm California time includes 30-minute unpaid break​​



Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Healthcare Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential in ensuring smooth front desk operations and delivering an exceptional patient experience in a HIPAA-compliant healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival and direct them appropriately

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments

  • Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, collecting co-pays, and verifying insurance information

  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence including emails, faxes, and mail

  • Maintain and update patient records in accordance with HIPAA and privacy regulations

  • Ensure a clean and welcoming front office area at all times

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow

  • Assist with additional clerical tasks and administrative support as needed



Requirements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or medical office training is a plus

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting a must

  • MUST HAVE WINDOWS OS COMPUTER

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic office software (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
