The client is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who will be responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and taxation requirements and deliver associated quality, professional accounting outcomes.
Job Summary:
The individual in this role will provide high level tax and accounting support to the Manager and the entire client base. They will assist the Partner/Director with leading, coaching/ mentoring and performance management of the team.
Job Description:
Deliver on other tax, accounting and advisory services as required and/or discussed with the Manager or requested by clients
Complete basic to high level complexity tax returns and financial accounts
Complete basic to high level complexity GST, BAS, and IAS
Complete all other compliance documents as required
Identifying/notifying the Manager of any concerning matters, including but not limited to, discrepancies in tax assessment notices or services provided
Review ATO correspondence where required, and discuss/raise concerning matters with the Manager and ensure matters are addressed in a timely manner
Ensure timely and accurate management of workflow
Ensure timely and accurate management of invoicing, including WIP management
Actively participate in the staff training provided by the firm and in ongoing self-paced learning
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
At least 5+ years of experience in the Australian tax accounting industry
Experienced in SMSF and Tax returns and financial statements for Company, Individual, and Trusts
Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
Working knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, and IAS
At least 5+yrs of experience in HandiSoft software
Proficiency in various accounting software including APS, AccountRight, MS Office, Xero & MYOB
