Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (3 days), 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • 7 hours with 1-hour unpaid break (21 hours)
  • Sydney, Australia

About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and efficient Multimedia Video Editor to join our team on a part-time basis (up to 21 hours per week) The successful candidate will have the skills to enhance the messaging of our video content, mostly by editing current content to support the marketing of our online course platform and ensure that all videos meet our brand’s high standards. This position has the potential to become full-time as our business grows.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Create new video materials in alignment with brand and educational goals
  • Comfortable in repurposing long-form content into bite-sized, engaging pieces
  • Edit, clean up, and enhance existing video content to support marketing activities
  • Set up and manage our YouTube channel, crafting content that effectively engages and captures the target audience
  • Create basic static content (e.g. carousels, quote posts, thumbnails) using brand assets
  • Add engaging captions — ideally burned-in, dynamic, and aligned with brand voice
  • Follow basic storytelling flow to keep viewers hooked
  • Upload finished videos to various online platforms, ensuring correct formatting and optimal playback
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and platform best practices
  • Available for occasional check-ins or strategy meetings with the internal team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to video files or uploads
  • Collaborate with the team to understand content requirements and feedback
  • Maintain an organized archive of video footage and project files
  • Incorporate feedback promptly to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Support the continual improvement of our video production workflow

Requirements
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
  • Basic technical skills for uploading videos to platforms and online course hosting sites
  • Solid troubleshooting abilities to solve minor technical issues quickly
  • Experience with online course platforms is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing polished, professional videos
  • Strong eye for clipping out valuable insights, turning dense content into high-performing hooks
  • Has worked with coaching/personal branding content before
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience working in a marketing agency or with performance-based editing (understands CTAs, retention strategies, etc.)
