Job Description

To install, service modify and demonstrate new dental equipment in customers’ practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities':

Assist in the Installation or service of equipment for customers by working with the dentist and other team members.
Install equipment according to drawings agreed by the customer. Use tools for assembly, fixing, electrical wiring and plumbing, etc.
Ensure the equipment functions correctly by checking for leaks, noises, etc, during operation.
Install or service dental equipment to manufacturer’s specifications, to pre-installed services provided by others.
Install or service equipment to the highest possible standard within the allocated time period.
Install into new / existing equipment secondary devices.
Demonstrate installed equipment so the customer understands and is happy with its operation.
Leave the working site clean and tidy wherever possible.
Behave as a good ambassador of the company at all times, so the customer will be happy to do further business.
Maintain good records of installations / Company equipment, tools, car, phone.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required

Physical Activities:

This position will require the repair and installation of Dental Equipment into Dental Practices. Engineers will be expected to manoeuvre large equipment both in a warehouse and in the customer's surgery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

No Dental equipment experience required, but experience of electrical or plumbing an advantage.

Education:

A good standard of education with good numeracy and literacy skills. An understanding of decontamination principles is an advantage.

Specialised Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to understand systems and motivation to continually develop your own knowledge.
Consistency in delivery of support to service department.
Strong customer interpersonal skills.
