Job description

This is a remote position.

This is a remote position with occasional travel to the Leeds office.

We’re working on behalf of a forward-thinking EPC contractor and ICP that specialises in Balance of Plant (BoP) and integration works across the renewable energy and industrial sectors – including Solar, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), Heavy Industrial, and Carbon Capture projects.

Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work, they're looking to appoint a Senior Tendering Engineer to take a lead role in preparing and managing complex tender submissions across projects ranging from LV up to 400kV.

Key Responsibilities:
✔ Lead the full tender process – from reviewing technical documentation to compiling submissions
✔ Produce accurate cost estimates using industry software (Bluebeam, Causeway or similar)
✔ Engage and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive quotes
✔ Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality proposals
✔ Coordinate clarifications and support adjudication meetings
✔ Assist with post-tender negotiations and handovers to project teams
✔ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
✔ Provide cost reporting and forecasting to help monitor bid profitability



Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
✔ 5+ years of tendering or estimating experience within EPC or energy projects
✔ Degree-qualified in engineering, quantity surveying or similar
✔ Strong understanding of contract forms (JCT, FIDIC, NEC)
✔ Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, Causeway)
✔ Excellent communication and negotiation skills
✔ Able to manage multiple bids and deadlines


Salary:

Up to £90K
