Job description

This position's purpose is to confirm all Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins product and materials comply with current federal and local regulations.  Materials may include nutrition calculations, menu-board labeling, websites and advertising components. To monitor activity in the regulatory and competitive landscape informing all key stakeholders on its impact to the brands and developing next steps for each brand aligning with brand strategies

This position is fully remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uses and maintains systems and processes to provide and review nutritional information for product and process specifications, retail labeling and consumer information.
  • Creates and maintains the nutritional information consistency on Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins websites, menu boards, in-store and catering menus in accordance with product specifications, federal regulations and current core menus. Reviews and provides feedback on all content prior to approval and release.
  • Creates and maintains mobile app documentation in accordance with regulations. Reviews and provides feedback on all content prior to approval and release.
  • Creates and maintains nutritional information to provide guidance to support groups as required and needed with product R&D.
  • Reviews and provides guidance on regulatory compliance.  Regulatory manager will participate in decision making process.
  • Creates and maintains cake labeling documentation in accordance with regulations. Reviews and provides feedback on all content prior to approval and release.
  • Manages the consumer care/navigator teams on nutrition-related inquiries as required and necessary.
  • Manages all aspects of the Marketing Review Board (MRB) - agenda, calendar invites, meeting activity.
  • This position has zero direct reports.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum 4- year degree; Nutrition degree preferred; RD certification desired a plus
  • 1 or more years of experience in quality assurance or related food industry role managing food product information such as nutritional information and ingredient labeling

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge and experience in nutrition and nutritional value.
  • Knowledge of the FDA Code of Federal Regulations pertaining to food, food manufacturing and the model food code for restaurants.
  • Knowledge of USDA Dietary Guidelines.
  • Experience with nutrition software such as ESHA Genesis a plus.

  • Ability to Travel. Approximately 0-20% travel may be required in support of the position responsibilities. May require travel (US) with overnight stays involving weekends and/or requiring airplane travel.

PROJECT ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Participate in the initiation and planning phases by gathering project data and requirements and providing input on project activities and timing.
  • Utilize project management tools and disciplines to complete project assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Help identify and resolve project–related risks and issues.
  • Participate in the evaluation of the project by giving input for post-project evaluations and lessons learned.
  • Provides guidance and feedback in all relevant areas of the product development phases to include: project briefs, recipe development, product claims, product packaging, advertising materials, and nutrition and ingredient information.
