The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a(n) Advanced Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Design and build scalable, high-performing software solution in the cloud, directly supporting both customer-facing application and internal tools that drive operational excellence and innovation across the organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners – including product managers, UX designers, software engineers, and other stakeholders – to collaboratively define, develop, and deliver high-quality features, taking ideas from initial concept through to deployment in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Engage in the full software development lifecycle by contributing to system architecture, hands-on implementation, rigorous testing, and proactive monitoring to ensure application is reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by engaging in code reviews, retrospectives, and design discussions – sharing feedback, learning from peers, and helping shape best practices that elevate quality and collaboration.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 1 year of software development experience working in Agile-based development teams

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND 5 years of software development experience working in Agile-based development teams

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience with additional AWS services, including CloudFormation, Jinja, Pipelines, IAM, Kibana, SNS, and ECS
  • Experience developing and deploying serverless applications and architectures
  • Experience working in cloud environments, including AWS services like Lambda, S3, Redshift, Glue, and Athena
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Python, Angular, JSON, C#, Yaml, and Java
  • Experience with git, GitHub, GitHub CoPilot, Checkmarx, Nexus, and Docker
  • Knowledge of security standards and remediating vulnerabilities
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a passion for learning new technologies and continuously improving development processes

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
