An advanced scientific degree (PhD, Pharm D, MA) is preferred., 3+ years of previous industry medical affairs experience required, preferably in MSL and/or clinical trial background., Relevant therapeutic area experience within neuromuscular disorders or rare diseases is essential., Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining relationships with KOLs. .

Key responsibilities:

  • Establishing a respected presence with researchers and opinion leaders in the therapeutic area.
  • Building and developing relationships with HCPs, patient advocacy groups, and professional societies.
  • Providing clinical training to cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Liaising with Global Medical Affairs to align strategy and provide local market insight.

What you’ll be doing: 

You will be responsible for establishing a respected and valued presence with researchers and opinion leaders working in the given therapeutic area and / or pipeline. You will engage in fair balanced scientific exchange and respond to requests for information about pipeline products and diseases of interest with key stakeholders. Through a thorough understanding of national and regional experts, you will gain insight into treatment patterns and trends that will be shared internally to shape strategy. 

What your day-to-day responsibilities will be: 

  • Building and developing enduring relationships with HCPs, patient advocacy groups, professional societies, and institutions, creating constructive cross-functional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders  
  • Representing our client at select scientific congresses and professional society meetings  
  • Providing clinical training to cross functional teams and external stakeholders 
  • Liaising with Global Medical Affairs to align strategy and provide local market insight 
  • Acting as an internal and external scientific expert 
  • Designing and delivering scientific presentations 
  • Attending relevant conferences 
  • Adhering to compliance requirements 
  • Supporting investigator-initiated studies 

What you’ll need to be successful: 

  • An advanced scientific degree (PHD, Pharm D, MA) is preferred  
  • Relevant therapeutic area experience within neuromuscular disorders or/and rare disease
  • 3+ years of previous industry medical affairs experience required, preferably in MSL and/or headquartered based medical affairs role and clinical trial background 
  • Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining relationships with KOLs 
  • Ability to effectively communicate and assimilate scientific and clinical data to the relevant audience 
  • Strong understanding of local healthcare systems, treatment guidelines 
  • Willing and able to travel in the defined territory 50-70% of time
