Position Overview
Great events can spark growth and connection—help us create the ones people never forget.
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced
Events Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in university-style learning events or professional development programs, with at least 8 years of experience leading and coordinating high-volume, high-impact events each year.
In this role, you’ll be a strategic thinker and exceptional communicator, seamlessly managing multiple stakeholders while upholding the highest standards for detail, organization, and execution. You'll collaborate across departments to plan and deliver dynamic events that drive business growth, deepen customer engagement, and advance external education initiatives.
We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivers outstanding results, and is committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and creating exceptional attendee experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Event Experience: Lead the strategy, planning, and flawless execution of high-impact events — from SiteOne Universities and local branch events to golf tournaments, meetings, and major conferences. Your creativity and leadership will bring our brand to life across every event.
- Drive Learning & Engagement: Collaborate with the Customer Education & Training Manager to design learning events (CEU programs, professional development tracks, and more) that are engaging, impactful, and outcome-driven. Create spaces where customers learn, grow, and connect.
- Master Pre- and Post-Event Excellence: Ensure every detail is ready to shine — from food and beverage plans to signage, registration, and communications. After the event, you’ll lead recaps, gather insights, and champion continuous improvement.
- Spark Excitement Through Marketing: Work with creative agencies to craft compelling marketing copy, drive registrations, and create smooth, polished attendee experiences. Build branded registration sites in CVENT that make every event feel special from the very first click.
- Manage Budgets & Build Vendor Partnerships: Own the numbers and the relationships. Negotiate vendor contracts, build detailed budgets, and deliver reconciliations that reflect smart, strategic spending.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with field teams, marketing, and senior leaders to bring events to life. You'll foster a collaborative culture built on trust, accountability, and shared wins.
- Be a Brand Champion: Represent SiteOne with pride, professionalism, and passion. Every event you touch will reflect the best of who we are.
