Title: AI Product Engineer

Location: Remote

Hours: 9:00-5:00pm EST

Compensation: $5,000-$6,000/month

We Are an AI product studio partnering with creators and startups to tastefully implement AI where it’s actually needed. We’re a dense team with experience from Shopify, LinkedIn, Bain, and Microsoft.

We also incubate our own products such as our popular Chrome extension, which serves over 20,000 users by supporting content creation and summarization, and our more recent voice journal AI application.

Role Description: AI Product Engineer

We’re looking for an AI Product Engineer to both build product and (ideally) serve as the primary point of contact for the client. This person over time will be suited to start a company and become a founder. Yes I know this is a unicorn person but hey that is the caliber we're looking for.

You might be a fit if…

Built 0-10: You’ve endured the tedium of building and deploying something from scratch, getting real usage and feedback, and iterating on a live project. It doesn’t need to have supported millions of users in traffic - we care more that you can relentlessly google/chatgpt things until it “works.”
Classically trained: You’ve hand-written SQL, actually read the docs (and source code when the docs fail you), chased down weird bugs across datadog, AWS infra, product analytics etc.
..but adapting: but you use cursor or claude code to move faster now. Beyond just calling OpenAI, you’ve set up OpenRouter or LiteLLM to hot swap models as new models come out every week. You look at your traces using some observability tool even if you don’t have full evals yet. (Bonus if you’re on X/Twitter!)
Product Thinker: You don’t just take orders - you help figure out “what do we build”. You like to talk with users, review product analytics in Posthog/Mixpanel, and translate technical ideas into clear, actionable plans. You value building strong, lasting relationships with clients.

What You’ll Do

Lead AI Projects: Design and develop custom AI solutions tailored to our clients’ needs—from concept to scalable deployment.
Client Engagement: Serves as the primary technical liaison, working closely with clients to define requirements and ensure the final product meets their goals.
Innovate & Iterate: Build prototypes, incorporate feedback quickly, and deliver robust, production-ready systems powered by LLMs.
Experiment with modern AI tools Like LangChain, Langsmith, Cursor, and v0 and integrate the latest innovations into our projects.
Share Learnings: Speak or write up insights from the week. Share them for your record, for the team, for clients, or for Casper's growing audience.
