As a member of the GIS team, the candidate will leverage geospatial data and advanced analytical techniques, along with scripting languages, to develop custom GIS applications and tools that solve complex business problems specifically related to utilities data and enhance organizational efficiency and decision-making. This is a remote opportunity with anticipated travel to Seattle, Washington as requested by the client.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct advanced spatial analysis, modeling, and data mining to extract meaningful insights from geospatial data.
• Develop and implement custom GIS applications, scripts, and tools using programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Arcade or others.
• Design and maintain geospatial databases (SQL, Oracle) and data pipelines.
• Integrate GIS data with other data sources and platforms.
• Automate GIS workflows and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in GIS technology and software development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and develop tailored GIS solutions.

The following are requirements of the Geospatial Solutions Analyst:
• US Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography/GIS, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 4-6 years’ experience with ArcGIS Pro for managing geospatial data, generating cartographic products, and performing spatial analysis.
• Experience with GIS software and enterprise geodatabases (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise).
• Familiarity with water and wastewater utility infrastructure and operations.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python) and GIS-related libraries (e.g., ArcPy, GeoPandas).
• Experience with web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web mapping libraries (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox GL JS, ArcGIS API for JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of database principles and experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Desire to take initiative and proactively solve complex problems.
The following are desired capabilities and experience of the Geospatial Solutions Analyst:
• Specific experience working with geospatial data related to water, wastewater, and/or solid waste utilities infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, collection networks, treatment plants, disposal sites).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) to automate tasks related to utility data processing and analysis.
• Familiarity with data models and industry standards relevant to water, wastewater, and solid waste utilities (e.g., Esri Utility Network, PODS).
• Experience in developing GIS solutions or tools to support hydraulic modeling workflows or the analysis of utility network performance.
