About the role
As a Sub Editor, you will have an important role in providing support to the editorial and content production teams. You will be required to immerse yourself in the digital publishing world, quickly sharpening copy using your skills in editorial quality assurance, copy refinement, and SEO best practices.
Your role will be crucial in assisting the content team by sub-editing content across a range of digital channels with a focus on SEO copy, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accuracy in line with brand style and tone. You will also be expected to write for different projects with absolute precision and clarity.
What you’ll do
· Sub-edit articles, blog posts, landing pages, captions, and social content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand tone
· Edit and rewrite content in Microsoft Word documents as well as through shared files or feedback tools
· Optimise written content for SEO using provided keyword guidance and your own best practice knowledge
· Ensure all content read beautifully, meets the requirements of the tone of voice and brand documents and meets accessibility standards and inclusive writing principles
· Collaborate with content creators and editors by providing constructive, detailed feedback
· Respond to briefs for copy updates and rewrites across digital and email channels
Stay up-to-date with grammar, style, SEO, and digital content trends to apply best practices
· Develop and maintain tone of voice and style guides
· Keep track of finalised content using internal documentation and reporting tools – manage workflows and copy processes
· Work across multiple projects for Greenpark and can switch seamlessly between them
About you
· 5+ years of proven experience in a sub-editing, content editing, or copyediting role
· Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and tone
· Experience working with consumer-facing digital content across multiple formats
· Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold consistency across complex projects
· Excellent knowledge of SEO and experience optimising copy for search performance
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word
· Experience with content management systems and social media platforms
· Experience giving constructive feedback to content teams to improve writing and editorial quality
