PROTECTIVE CARE FOR Complex YP The Protective Care Group was founded in order to offer bespoke and tailor-made support services to young people with severe, complex needs who particularly exhibit challenging behaviour. Whatever the reason – we’re always there to help and most Local Authorities come to us when other providers and placements have failed and often by recommendation which is firm praise. We communicate with the whole circle of care to deliver tailored support – including family members, social workers and commissioners. Our approach ensures every young person in our care is supported to a high level, is offered choice and the right level of support in order to achieve their goals and aspirations. As a result, many will go on to access education and other activities within their community. All of this is fundamental to preventing social isolation and spending months away in secure units which often compounds the challenging behaviour. Young people have a right to live, to become part of their community and engage in life experiences wherever possible and our aim is to make this happen. Our support workers are highly skilled, are not phased by aggression and offer bespoke care as well as development and mentoring so each client shows steady progression in all areas of their life. We work with young people from all walks of life but tend to get asked to support young people where other providers have failed. Absconding, running county lines, criminal activities, challenging behaviour, self harm and MH issues often from a life in care are often the behaviours of the YP in our care. Our Management Team bring over 20 years combined experience in both commercial, not for profit and lived experiences, within the areas of learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour, social work, and adoption. In addition they are passionate about supporting, empowering and giving opportunities to children who are so often overlooked in life.
