Position Summary
The Payroll Reporting Analyst is a leader within the post payroll team with primary focuses on the integrity of payroll results and compliance of Federal, State and Local payroll tax requirements. Work is focused on verification of payroll inputs and final results, ensuring compliance with all the pay policies & procedures and adherence to Federal, state and local laws.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy of payroll results through regular audits and verifications of data inputs & outputs.
  • Identify, plan, and implement process improvements to reduce costs, errors, rework, duplication of efforts etc.  
  • Test new system updates in an accurate, organized and timely manner.
  • Actively participate in year-end W2/1099R processing.
  • Reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process payroll tax adjustments for employee pay and benefits changes throughout the year.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external payroll audits related to payroll tax compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports to be distributed to leadership.
  • Collaborate regularly with colleagues from Compliance, Legal, Total Rewards and external providers as necessary to ensure adherence to internal policies, applicable local, state/provincial, and federal requirements.
  • Serve as subject matter resource for all payroll processing and tax inquiries.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects or processes of complex scope with limited oversight from manager.
  • Create solid relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience; or requires a minimum of 8 years of payroll related experience.
  • Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll tax.
  • Advanced Excel skills: Vlookups, pivot tables, formulas, Macros.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop new skills quickly.
  • Adapting and thriving in a constantly changing environment.
  • Works well independently or within a team.
  • Prior experience with case/ticket management systems.

Nice to Have:

  • SAP/Workday/Dayforce/Service Now experience.
