Our preference is for this role to be based in Irvine, CA or Little Rock, AR but we are open to remote applicants for this position.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Partner and collaborate with team on the coordination and preparation of external financial reports on annual and quarterly basis, including form 10Q, 10K, 8K.
Lead conversations with Accounting/Finance/Legal and other cross function teams to collect information and input for the consolidated financial statements and disclosures; prepare and maintain the consolidated financial operating model; complete disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and assist in the development and implementation of new controls as the company grows and evolves.
Prepare journal entries related to acquisitions, equity accounts and stock-based compensations.
Develop and maintain quarterly reporting timetable and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones.
Review and analyze supporting documents for quarterly financial statements review/annual audit.
Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support accounting/corporate decisions and create documentation, and maintenance of company accounting policies.
Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules deliberated by the SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB or other regulations and report nuances or updates that need to be addressed in an effort to be compliant.
Conduct research in technical accounting matters and provide updates that impact the accounting environment, in form of presentations, training material, and/or memos.
Implement best practices and standardized procedures.
Participate in special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, and M&A due diligence and ad-hoc requests as needed.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting and technical accounting.
Demonstrated ability in having a strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Strong knowledge of financial statements consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, etc.
Advanced Excel skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional planning and organization skills.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Results-driven, take the initiative and ownership to accomplish work.
