About the Role:
As a Government Affairs Intern, you’ll work closely with Socure’s Government Affairs team to monitor federal and state policy developments, support strategic outreach, and help advance Socure’s mission to eliminate identity fraud and increase access to services for all Americans.

Socure, the leading provider of digital identity verification technology, is seeking a Government Affairs Intern to support our federal policy and public affairs initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for a student passionate about technology policy, digital identity, and how innovation shapes public governance.

Location: Remote (U.S.-based; Washington, DC metro area preferred)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze legislation, regulations, and agency activity related to digital identity, privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and fraud prevention.

  • Draft policy memos, internal briefings, and external-facing content.

  • Monitor congressional hearings and public policy events, providing written summaries and strategic takeaways.

  • Assist in tracking engagement with policymakers, agencies, and industry coalitions.

  • Support coordination for virtual events and meetings with government stakeholders.

  • Help ensure alignment between policy advocacy and Socure’s business goals.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Affairs, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in digital identity, privacy, technology policy, and government modernization.

  • Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with the government or legislative process is a plus.

  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment.
