Freelance Recruiter (Remote – US)
Pay: commission only (no cap)
Future Opportunity: Salary or equity as the company scales
Location: Remote – US only
Type: 1099 Contract

Underground Admins is a boutique, woman-owned staffing agency built by recruiters who were sick of the fluff. We cut through the noise, don’t waste client time with 10 half-baked resumes, and prioritize actual candidate quality over metrics. We specialize in tech, operations, talent acquisition, and executive search, placing top performers in startups, growth-stage companies, and enterprise teams that need real results. Our team is tight-knit, experienced, and deadly effective.

About You
You’re a recruiter with 3+ years of agency experience who actually likes recruiting (shocking, we know). You’re allergic to fluff, drama, and the high-volume low-conversion hamster wheel. You can build rapport fast, sniff out a bad fit before the first interview, and you’ve got the hustle gene.

This isn’t a junior role; we’re looking for someone who knows how to own reqs, close talent, and work independently. You’ll partner directly with one of the founders, get access to cool jobs and a big network, and drive your own deals from outreach to offer.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of full-cycle recruiting for contract and perm roles (mostly tech, ops, and GTM some weird shit because the market is weird as shit)
  • Source, screen, and manage your process
  • Work closely with our founders to build and close new client accounts
  • Contribute to a high-performing, no-BS team that genuinely supports each other
  • Grow with us, this role has future potential to evolve into equity or salaried leadership. we've built the right way so far and want to push this thing over the ledge. We just need the right people to take it home.

You Must Have

  • 2+ years of agency recruiting experience (contract or perm)
  • Strong sourcing and screening skills (Boolean is your second language)
  • Confidence talking to candidates and clients alike
  • A decent WiFi connection and a great sense of humor

Requirements

  • Experience in recruitment, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setup.
  • Results-driven attitude with a focus on achieving targets.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms is preferred.
