Job description

Freebird is experiencing incredible growth, and we're searching for a strategic, results-focused Conversion & Messaging Strategist who can dramatically elevate our business by crafting clear, compelling, and data-driven messaging strategies. This critical role blends meaningful consumer insights, powerful direct-response copywriting, persuasive offer creation, and strategic UX design to create funnels and landing pages that convert at a significantly higher rate.

What You'll Do:

  • Consumer Insights & Messaging Testing:
    • Conduct deep voice-of-customer research using surveys, customer interviews, reviews, and competitor analysis.
    • Run data-driven messaging tests to identify precisely what resonates most deeply with our audience, determining the highest-impact messaging hierarchy (what to say first, what visuals to use, what drives trust, etc.).
  • Strategic Funnel & Landing Page Creation:
    • Translate customer insights into highly effective landing page and funnel strategies, clearly outlining messaging, visuals, and offer positioning.
    • Collaborate closely with UX designers to effectively bring your strategic vision to life with optimal user experience design.
  • Direct-Response Copywriting & Offer Framing:
    • Craft powerful, persuasive copy that clearly communicates key benefits, builds trust, and drives action.
    • Design compelling offers and pricing strategies that resonate deeply with customers and maximize conversions.
  • Data-Driven Experimentation:
    • Lead rigorous A/B testing to validate messaging, offers, layouts, and content, ensuring continuous optimization based on meaningful insights.
    • Analyze and clearly communicate results and strategic insights across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training:
    • Act as the internal expert on customer-driven messaging, partnering closely with Email, Paid Media, Creative, Product, and Web teams.
    • Provide training and guidance across teams to ensure consistent application of validated messaging frameworks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in direct-response copywriting, consumer insights, messaging strategy, CRO, or growth marketing, ideally within a fast-growing DTC/eCommerce environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of leveraging data-driven insights to build high-converting landing pages and marketing funnels.
  • Strong proficiency in consumer psychology, behavioral insights, and persuasive communication techniques.
  • Proven ability to conduct robust research and testing to identify and validate impactful messaging and offers.
  • Experience in clearly articulating strategic funnel concepts to UX designers and collaborating effectively to create exceptional user experiences.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with experience in experimentation, A/B testing, and insightful interpretation of results.
