Job description

ROKO Labs is a fast-growing strategic product and technology consultancy based in NYC. We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful person who enjoys solving complex problems! We have developed a great track record of working with large Fortune 500 companies and VC-backed startups. We are incredibly proud of our work and would be excited to share it with you! Our clients value the fact that we understand their businesses and help to build products that users love! Additionally, our extended team spans multiple countries, making for fun cultural exchanges.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be responsible for understanding user requirements, designing graphic elements, and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. Also, you will create both functional and appealing features that address our clients' needs.

If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile apps, we would like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers
  • Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders (e.g. Discovery, UX Research, presentation)
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
  • Design graphic user interface elements like menus, tabs, and widgets
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables).
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (i.e., responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a UX/UI Designer or a similar role
  • Portfolio of design projects for IT products
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. wireframe.cc and InVision)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or similar
  • Team-oriented, strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Education background in Design or relevant fields is preferable

We Offer

  • Our designers work on one primary project at a time
  • We work on long-term projects, and you have the opportunity to get to know the client and his needs well, as well as the team
  • You will have the opportunity to work on complex solutions with the latest technologies
  • Remote work means it's up to you whether you work from home, beach, or in the office
  • Flexible working hours mean that you can tailor your workday to your preferences, without a time-tracking system
  • All our employees will right away receive a contract for an indefinite period (B2B collaboration is also an option)
  • We provide regular feedback as part of our commitment to your ongoing development and success
  • If you love taking courses or going to conferences, we are always open to discussing education opportunities
  • Each team has its monthly knowledge-sharing sessions combined with weekly talks and brainstorming sessions aimed at improving our current work and processes
  • If you have a colleague or a friend who could be a good fit for us, we can offer you a referral fee
  • Salary will be based on your experience and skills
