We are looking for a Content & Proposal Writer to join our marketing team and play a key role in crafting compelling content that supports our sales efforts, nurtures prospects, and strengthens our market positioning. Reporting to the Director, Content Marketing, this is a key role on the marketing team, blending strategic content writing with hands-on RFP and proposal development to influence business outcomes and support customer-facing teams.

You understand how content fits into the bigger marketing picture and excel at creating materials that don’t just inform but inspire and convert. You’ll help us find creative, engaging ways to bring our brand to life with effective, impactful writing—helping to shape our brand and influencing the future of student, alumni and donor engagement. This is a remote position that can be performed from Canada or the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Enablement & Content Creation:
- Develop strategic content including blogs, case studies, event collateral, and sales enablement materials aligned with customer needs and business objectives, working closely with product marketing, product management, sales, and customer success.
- Interview key internal stakeholders including Customer Success, Sales, and Product leaders to understand customer pain points, jobs-to-be-done, use cases and client stories.
- Write solution-focused competitive positioning pieces and messaging in collaboration with the Product Marketing team.
- Implement SEO and GEO best practices to optimize content performance and visibility.
- Support sales with tailored messaging, decks, and collateral to drive pipeline growth.
Proposal & RFP Writing:
- Identify and source new RFP opportunities in partnership with sales and leadership.
- Lead project planning for proposals, ensuring alignment on timelines and deliverables.
- Draft, edit, and refine proposal content to showcase Gravyty’s value proposition.
- Submit FOIA requests to support win/loss programs and bolster industry knowledge.
- Coordinate with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to gather insights and technical details.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and maintain a repository of reusable content.
Collaboration & Project Management:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product marketing, customer success, and engineering to align messaging and content strategy.
- Maintain an organized library of proposal content, case studies, and source materials for quick access and reuse.
- Manage multiple content projects on tight deadlines, ensuring smooth execution from ideation to completion.
- Maintain organizational systems for tracking content performance, RFP deadlines, and project timelines.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on content effectiveness and sales enablement impact.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional writing, content marketing, journalism, or related experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on RFP, grant, and/or proposal writing experience, with a proven track record of managing responses end-to-end.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex product concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Skilled at translating complex technical concepts into jargon-free, dynamic language through various formats.
- A self-starter mindset with strategic thinking to drive projects forward.
- Experience in marketing automation, sales enablement, and content distribution strategies across digital channels.
- Eagerness to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, customer success, and leadership teams.
- Familiarity with tools like Asana, Slack, Jasper, Copy.ai, Google Workspace, and Hubspot to streamline workflows and content strategy.
- A data-driven mindset, developing metrics and reporting to understand content performance and optimize strategy.
