JOB SCOPE:

The Senior Director, Strategy & Operations is responsible for shaping the organization's long-term success and competitiveness. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to execute on initiatives that create sustainable value for the company and its stakeholders.

Job Summary

The Senior Director, Strategy & Operations is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that enhance the company's overall value proposition and competitive advantage. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to improve the company's performance, profitability, and long-term sustainability while supporting the business and functional teams on the execution of the strategy.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops growth strategies with stakeholders by conducting market and competitive analysis, delivering deep insights, building financial and analytical models, and creating implementation plans that align with the company's overall vision and mission
  • Identifies key growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive the company's future direction
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize value-adding initiatives that differentiate the company's products or services from competitors
  • Conducts comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential areas for expansion using this information to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation
  • Defines key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success and impact of strategic initiatives monitoring progress and reporting to senior leadership
  • Works closely with the finance team to conduct financial analysis, including ROI assessments, cost-benefit analysis, and financial modeling to evaluate the feasibility of various strategic options
  • Fosters a culture of innovation by encouraging creative thinking, idea generation, and experimentation to continuously improve the company's offerings and processes
  • Creates the project management plan and governance for strategy implementation, working with stakeholders to mobilize resources across the organization while monitoring plan progress
  • Engages internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and regulatory bodies, to gather insights and feedback that inform strategic decisions
  • Ensures all strategies and initiatives align with the company's ethical standards and corporate social responsibility commitments
  • Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5-10 years of related experience
  • 18 years of age or older

  • Effectively communicate the company's strategic direction, progress, and results to various audiences, including senior executives, board members, and employees
  • Proven experience in strategy development, business consulting, or related roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate market trends, and drive innovative solutions
  • Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling

  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the company's reputation and values
