The ACR is seeking a Member Services Specialist to join the Chapters & Sections team. The Member Services Specialist oversees and coordinates projects within the Chapters & Sections team. This role organizes work tasks and participates in projects to support department objectives.  The Member Services Specialist follows defined policies and procedures to accomplish work assignments and contributes to the development of internal processes. In this role, the MSS works independently and makes decisions through analysis, interpretation and evaluation of available data and member input. This position will engage directly with staff, members, and chapter and section leaders to provide program support for section leadership and subcommittees. The successful candidate will think strategically and creatively as well as seek opportunities to add value to members for these programs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing the ACR Resident and Fellow Section (RFS) initiatives and programs:
    • Serving as primary staff of RFS Executive Committee and subcommittees
    • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in development of RFS-relevant content, including dissemination of information via email blasts, newsletters, social media, and nurture campaigns
    • Planning and in-person facilitation of the RFS Annual Meeting program
    • Facilitation of the RFS Call for Nominations, development of candidate materials, and RFS Executive Committee elections
    • Providing orientation and ongoing guidance to newly elected and appointed RFS leaders and committee members
    • Liaising with the Member Services team to track engagement and membership data
    • Managing the RFS-related pages and resources on the ACR website
  • Primary administrator of ACR members-only online discussion platform, Engage (hosted on Higher Logic platform):
    • Provide daily oversight of the platform ensuring Code of Conduct adherence
    • Serve as primary staff of the Engage Steering Committee (ESC)
    • Pull and provide monthly and yearly usage and activity reports to ESC and relevant staff
    • In coordination with the Social Media team, distribute weekly Voice of Radiology Blog via Engage
    • Create, modify, and grant access to new/existing communities as needed
  • Other Member Engagement items, including:
    • Developing, updating, and maintaining resource materials and procedural documents
    • Participation in Commission on Membership and Communications meetings and initiatives

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in association management required, preferably within member engagement and/or component/section management
  • Experience in program/project management required, including committee/volunteer group administration, meeting facilitation, and/or budget management
  • Must be available to facilitate virtual evening committee meetings and/or webinars outside of normal working hours (1-2x/month)
  • Ability to lead section committees and initiatives in alignment with ACR strategic plan and best practices
  • Exceptional organizational skills required
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation required
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of responsiveness required
  • Experience with organizational/relational databases required (Salesforce and Nimble preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office required
  • Proficiency with Zoom required
  • Higher Logic experience strongly preferred
  • Certified Association Executive preferred
  • Must be available to travel to Washington, DC once per year to provide in-person program support at ACR Annual Meeting (5 days in spring each year)

This position will work on a Remote basis.  We seek a candidate located in the Eastern time zone so that they will be able to maintain our standard operating hours and attend ACR's  annual meeting in the spring.  Remote workers must be self-motivated, possess excellent time management, and be highly organized.  Reliable internet connection is a must!

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy that includes base salary in addition to our full suite of comprehensive benefits (https://www.acr.org/-/media/ACR/NOINDEX/HR/ACR-Benefits-Overview.pdf).  ACR’s goal is to pay competitively and equitably.  It is typical for individuals to be hired in the entry to middle of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on each case’s circumstances.  A reasonable estimate of the compensation range is $71,000 – $95,500.
