The DataOps systems engineer is responsible for driving impactful data based projects and analytics to support SCIEX’s growth objectives.    Expertise in our systems, software tools and processes, this person will interpret internal and/or external business issues and recommend and implement best practices related to data management, reporting & automation.

This position reports to the Sr Manager CRM and is part of the Global Commercial Operations and Enablement team and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Lead the GCOE team in the evaluation, design, and implementation of predictive analytics tools or projects. Drive automation and continuous efficiency improvement efforts regarding our data tools and platforms.  Evaluate new technologies, workflows and options to enhance the teams’ ability to deliver data and insights to business leaders, to drive impactful decisions.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer building production-level software using multiple languages, frameworks and cloud & database architectures
  • 1+ years of experience in Data Engineering in a senior role d
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, building software solutions and data processing algorithms for the auto and home insurance industries
  • 10+ years of computer programming and data analysis experience building statistical models using Python, NumPy, Pandas and MATLAB to reveal actionable insights and tell the story of data
  • 3+ Years experience in Cloud architecture and DevOps with Microsoft Azure,  Google Cloud, or Amazon Web Services
