Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, Financial Operations to join our dynamic team. This role will report directly to the Controller and be a highly visible position within Kipu with exposure to the CFO, as well as many other senior level executives. The team is updating systems in a high-growth and fast-paced environment so the ideal candidate will possess best-in-class systems and process experience, as well as strong leadership skills to guide teams along the way.

Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of aspects of the revenue cycle, working capital and treasury operations, as well as the close process ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Ensure team is optimizing software systems and tools, leveraging technology to support scalability and efficiency.
Key point person identifying best practices and opportunities for automation to streamline workflows and reduce risk of error within these areas.
Collaborate with IT and other teams to integrate financial systems with business platforms (e.g., CRM, billing, ERP).
Documenting policies, procedures, and controls to support the rapid scaling of Kipu’s financial operations.
Oversight of billing analysts to ensure integrity and accuracy of customer bills, as well as ensuring inquiries and escalations are resolved by the team within an appropriate timeframe.
Oversight of working capital areas related to cash, prepaids, fixed assets, capital software, prepaids, accounts payable, accrued expenses, sales tax and debt.
Assist the Controller with the management of the monthly close process, as well as ensuring account reconciliations are completed timely.
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, serving as the main contact for external auditors.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls and relevant financial regulations.
Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or equivalent; Master’s or CPA with Big 4 experience is desired but not required.
7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience in a SaaS environment, including supervisory responsibility.
High integrity, dependability and strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Hands-on system capabilities and experience with optimizing systems and/or rollout of new systems and processes.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external clients.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel) or other spreadsheet software for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with NetSuite, Zone Billing, QuickBooks, Salesforce, Expensify and/or Zendesk is a plus.
