Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master with our client in the insurance industry located in Milwaukee, WI. This is a fully remote, 2+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for facilitating and improving our Agile processes, ensuring that our data and reporting projects are delivered efficiently and effectively
Plan and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Ensure that all Agile ceremonies are productive and time-efficient
Coach team members on Agile principles and practices
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization within the team
Identify and remove any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress
Work with stakeholders to address and resolve issues promptly
Maintain transparency of the team's progress through effective use of Agile tools and metrics
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of projects
Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized
Assist in defining and breaking down user stories and acceptance criteria
Advocate for Agile best practices and principles across the organization
Help teams adopt and adapt Agile practices to their specific needs
Ensure effective communication within the team and between the team and external stakeholders
Promote a collaborative and open environment
Track and report on key Agile metrics to ensure continuous improvement
Use data to drive decision-making and improve team performance

Requirements:

5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, yet able to account for their activity
Experienced in leading agile transformation
Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remove impediments

Desired skills:

Certified Scrum Master
Experience with data analytics and reporting

Pay range: $50.00 - $60.00
