Position Overview:

This role supports data-driven decision-making by designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable data warehouse and business intelligence solutions within an Agile/Scrum environment. The candidate will leverage cloud-native platforms, ETL development skills, and enterprise data management best practices to lead and implement data architecture and analytics solutions.

Duties:

Collaborate with the data and analytics team in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Design, develop, test, and support data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the agency
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data warehouse and business intelligence systems
Apply data architecture, integration, and analytics principles to solution development
Develop and maintain ETL processes for efficient data movement and transformation
Utilize cloud-native data warehousing platforms for scalable and secure data storage
Ensure adherence to enterprise data management best practices and standards

Required Skills:

3 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions
3 years of experience with ETL/ELT tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory
3 years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric
3 years of proficiency in SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, and optimizing performance for large datasets
3 years of experience building and maintaining star schema data models, fact and dimension tables, and metadata documentation
3 years of experience using data visualization and reporting tools, especially Power BI Service
3 years of strong understanding of data governance, quality, and lineage principles
3 years of experience integrating data from diverse structured and semi-structured sources including relational databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud storage
3 years of familiarity with source control and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for data integration workflows
3 years of analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing data anomalies, ETL failures, and performance bottlenecks
3 years of demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and data pipelines
3 years of strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting data models, workflows, and data contracts
3 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum or DevOps environments
3 years of holding Microsoft certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) or SQL Server certifications

Preferred Skills:

3 years of academic or professional experience supported by a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
