Be our next: Community Engagement Assistant Your work environment at EXP The Community Engagement Assistant will support public relations, outreach, and event coordination efforts to enhance community engagement and public awareness initiatives. This position will play a key role in planning and executing events, managing outreach materials and inventory, fostering relationships with community partners, and assisting in the development of marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about community engagement, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams. What a day at EXP has in store for you Assist in planning, coordinating, and staffing outreach events to promote safety, transportation, and mobility initiatives. Set up and break down event materials, ensuring an engaging and informative presence at community events. Represent the organization at events, providing information to the public and engaging with community members. Track event participation, feedback, and outcomes to help evaluate engagement success. Marketing & Campaign Support Support the development of marketing and educational materials, including flyers, social media content, and promotional items. Assist in executing marketing campaigns by coordinating with internal and external partners. Maintain an organized inventory of outreach materials, ensuring supplies are stocked and distributed effectively. Help gather success stories, photos, and testimonials to showcase the impact of engagement efforts. Community & Partner Engagement Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to support outreach efforts. Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure alignment on messaging, materials, and event participation. Assist in the creation and distribution of partner toolkits for collaborative campaigns. What Your Experience Looks Like Bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience) in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in event coordination, marketing, or community outreach preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and attending in-person events (some evenings and weekends required). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media platforms. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for event setup and breakdown. Passion for community engagement, public safety, or transportation initiatives is a plus. Work Environment & Schedule Hybrid or remote-friendly with travel required for events. Flexible hours based on event schedules, with occasional evenings and weekends.
