In this role, you’ll lead the charge in expanding media under management, diversifying platform investments, and advancing full-funnel marketing strategies. You’ll design scalable processes, influence long-term policies, and partner closely with leadership on department P&L management. As a key voice at the table, you’ll inspire a culture of accountability, strategic thinking, and long-term growth, while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in social media marketing.

The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $170,000 - $200,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.
This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed and you must be an active employee in good standing and not on a Performance Improvement Plan to be eligible for the annual bonus.
*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

You Will BeLeading and managing the paid social departmental function, overseeing Group Directors, Senior Directors, Client Teams, and ensuring alignment with broader agency leadership objectives.Developing and articulating a point of view on emerging topics such as technology-assisted workflows, Measurement and Attribution, AI, data privacy, etc., and their impact(s) on clients’ business outcomes.Serving as the social team ambassador, representing Wpromote and its proprietary go-to-market tools, technology, and/or working methods that drive differentiation in public forums, webinars, and press engagements. Collaborating with team leadership to develop and execute department OKRs, ensuring alignment with company goals.Independently leading pitch preparation and presentation for opportunities of all sizes, demonstrating strategic leadership and decision-making.Overseeing paid social media delivery standards and strategy, ensuring client expectations are exceeded, and deliverables meet exceptional standards. This includes regular audits and maintenance of SOPs to ensure our operational standards and training materials reflect the most recent and high-impact approaches. Driving innovation and evolution of the department's go-to-market strategy, integrating high-level social strategies into overall marketing plans. This includes blending both visionary skills with operational excellence to create and implement the right goals. Managing and being accountable for all aspects of the business unit, including employees, clients, products, and service delivery.Maintaining a healthy P&L based on Wpromote’s operating plan and Paid Social’s contribution to that plan. Collaborating with company-wide team leads and C-level teams on key initiatives, demonstrating extreme ownership and accountability for decision-making impacting the P&L.Acting as key liaison with department heads, executive leadership, and account teams, to ensure investment and strategy alignment.Working with team Directors to determine the correct roles, responsibilities, and expertise needed to scale and grow paid social practice. Managing the recruitment, retention, and professional development of the department.Providing growth mapping & goal setting, and performing annual formal performance reviews. A major focus will be on team building, cultivating individuality, physical and emotional well-being, and personal development.
You Must Have10+ years of experience in social media management, with a minimum of 4+ years in a management role, including talent development and mentoring.Demonstrated capacity to construct and lead teams in a collaborative environment, developing and executing social media strategies across diverse industries.An innovative and strategic mindset, with proactive consideration of future algorithm changes and emerging technologies.Proven ability to be innovative and strategic in creating and managing a paid social discipline within an agency/business, including budget management and resource planningDemonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans, and campaigns that drive high ROIStrong strategic problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and an entrepreneurial spirit.Ability to influence and inspire innovative thinking, fostering strong relationships with teams, co-workers, agency partners, and clients.High-level team leadership, coaching, performance management, delegation, and executive decision-making skills.Strategic decision-making and responsibility for developing guidelines or procedures with a significant impact internally and externally.Ability to assess multiple horizon points and perspectives, proactively addressing anticipated needs or roadblocksBachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and experience
