System Administrator ENG/FRE Opportunities

About You

You have a strong background in IT systems administration and are skilled in maintaining secure and efficient infrastructures.
You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional IT teams and helping users troubleshoot technical issues.
You are fluent in both English and French, with excellent communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance: Monitor system hardware, resources, and processes. Review logs and ensure successful job completions.
Server Configuration & Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain physical and virtual servers and applications.
Network Management: Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure LAN/WAN reliability.
Security Maintenance: Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and enforce IT security policies.
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop and test strategies to ensure reliable data recovery and system continuity.
User Support: Provide tier 2/3 technical support, software assistance, and resolve complex hardware/network issues.
Documentation: Maintain system configuration documentation and standard operating procedures.
Patch Management: Apply regular patches, updates, and security upgrades to keep systems protected.
Capacity Planning: Monitor usage trends and system performance to forecast needs and prevent bottlenecks.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT colleagues across networks, support, and cybersecurity functions.

Technical Requirements

8+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure and system administration.
Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and Bash.
Expertise with:
- Linux, macOS, Windows Server Clusters (ASHCI)
- Dell PowerVaults, MS SQL
- Microsoft 365 Suite (OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange Online)
- Microsoft Intune & Microsoft Azure
- Fortinet firewall and network security technologies
