National Sales Manager

The National Sales Manager role is responsible for the distribution strategy and leading the sales team that is responsible for the distribution of Corebridge Financial Life products (Term & IUL) through our partnership with Allstate.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the Allstate sales team, providing guidance on appropriate activities, campaigns, messaging monitoring activity and outcomes as well as activity attribution.  This includes joint travel with the sales team to assess effectiveness and provide coaching. 
  • Partner with the Head of Strategic Accounts, Life and the Head of Internal Sales, Life to develop and implement overall Allstate sales plan, coverage models, segmentation, messaging, etc.
  • Develop the channel strategy, growth programs, monitor and review internal and external incentives with focus on compliance and results, etc.
  • Communicate effectively between internal partners, identifying of business building opportunities, and effective business planning and execution. 
  • Provide prioritized requests to internal partners on product/process/service/underwriting needs based on distributor feedback, experience, and competitive analysis. Meeting prescribed targets as laid out annually in order to grow the channel.
  • Develop and implement the annual Allstate sales plan
  • Leverages Corebridge senior management appropriately to further enhance the partnership between Corebridge and distribution partners
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of Corebridge products and their positioning against the competition
  • Continuously analyze relationship to assess market changes or trends, personnel changes or relationship needs, and provide input for potential revisions with business plan (visits, trainings, etc.) accordingly with sales team
  • Liaison between Corebridge personnel for operations, underwriting, service, and product management
     

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Expert knowledge of distribution and experience leading and directing sales teams
  • Demonstrated track record of sales growth/leadership and analytical skills to review activity/results and adjust tactics
  • Excellent listening, written, oral and presentation skills
  • Excellent understanding of technology and savviness of electronic application submission platforms
  • Demonstrated track record of problem-solving and adaptability
  • State Life & Health Licenses
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Must demonstrate prior accomplishments in external sales, recruiting or account
  • Extensive travel required
  • This job can be fully remote
