Now Hiring: Candidate Experience Specialist (Remote)
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET

At First Student, every safe ride to school begins with a strong start—and our Candidate Experience Specialists play a key role in making that happen.

In this fully remote role, you’ll support applicants from the moment they’re invited to interview through their first day of training. You’ll ensure every candidate has what they need to move forward confidently, complete their onboarding requirements, and show up for training feeling prepared and supported.

This is an ideal role for someone with a background in customer service, call centers, or administrative support who enjoys structure, communication, and helping people succeed. It’s also a great first step into the world of HR or recruiting operations.

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new hires after their interview has been scheduled through our AI Recruiting Assistant.
  • Guide candidates through offer acceptance, background checks, paperwork, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Answer questions, follow up on missing items, and ensure candidates are progressing smoothly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align training schedules and ensure all compliance steps are complete.
  • Track candidate progress using our applicant tracking system and flag any delays or concerns early.
  • Provide clear, timely communication so every new hire feels informed and supported from start to finish.

Why This Role Might Be a Great Fit:
  • You’re comfortable on the phone and in email, and you know how to keep a friendly, professional tone.
  • You stay organized—even when juggling a long to-do list.
  • You’ve worked in a support role, call center, or customer service setting, and you’re ready for something more behind-the-scenes.
  • You’re interested in growing into recruiting, onboarding, or HR over time.
  • You enjoy process-driven work and want to be part of a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.

What We Offer:
  • Fully remote work environment
  • Stable schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET
  • PTO and paid holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Discounts on cell phone plans, car purchases, travel, and more through Perk Spot
  • Supportive onboarding and a team that values clear communication, consistency, and follow-through

At First Student, we know that when people feel supported from the start, they’re more likely to succeed. If you’re the kind of person who gets satisfaction from checking boxes, solving problems, and helping new hires feel confident in their next step—we’d love to hear from you.
