  • Assist in the preparation and filing of 1099s and payroll tax forms for clients.

Job description

Salary: P500 per hour

Schedule: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM PHT (will work between these time for 4 hours a day)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role in the US.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance and experience with tax-related tasks is a plus.
  • Experience working with multiple clients in a bookkeeping or accounting firm.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with other accounting software and tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

What will you do?

Daily:

  • Check downloaded transactions and assign proper accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Update the supervisor or manager on the tasks and activities completed for the day.

Monthly:

  • Process and pay sales tax for clients, accurately log the transactions to tracking sheets, and organize and file all necessary paperwork for future reference and compliance.
  • Process and pay payroll tax for clients, maintain detailed logs of transactions, and file all required paperwork.

End of Year:

  • Assist in the preparation of 1099s for clients, ensuring they are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Assist in the completion and filing of payroll tax forms, including Form 940, Form 943, and W-2s, as required by clients.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update financial data in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for clients, as needed.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining efficient bookkeeping processes and systems.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting practices to ensure compliance.
