This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Oregon!
We are looking for a Buyer/Planner who is available to work in a hybrid capacity and commute to the client's location in the Portland area.
Flexibility is required for this role. The Buyer/Planner will need to visit the warehouse monthly. Additionally, while office attendance may not be frequent, there could be times when more frequent visits are necessary based on client requirements.
Candidates residing in Oregon or nearby will be given preference.
The Buyer/Planner position in U.P.PRO Oregon reports to the Regional Operations Manager and will work with a team of 7-8 people to manage inventory availability and reverse logistics.
1. Plan future inventory levels with the customer by analyzing consumption data and collecting the required information from the relevant stakeholders
2. Managing and monitoring inventory levels through order, supplier, and logistics management
Inventory Management:
· Interact with customers and suppliers on all daily operational issues
· Align with customer/supplier on inventory levels and forecast consumption
· Analyze inventory consumption trends
· Update inventory levels and document the reason for the change in customer BOM.
· On-time delivery manager per agreed parameters
· Review all High Risk/Zero Bin incidents, take all necessary action, and report/escalate to the customer as needed
· Disposition and removal of Dead/Excess inventory and recording of associated cost savings
· Schedule, facilitate, and manage regular BOM (Bill of Material) Review meetings
Purchasing:
· Purchasing decision-making and PO placement and managing orders created in the system to meet required inventory levels
· Generating GR (Goods Receipt) if applicable and resolving any GR discrepancies
· Resolution of any issue that may occur from PO placement to receipt and/or warehouse issues that may impact availability
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent; Further education or certification is preferred
Experience:
· Two to three years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant field/position.
· Background in indicator-driven work environments (KPIs)
· Warehouse experience is an advantage.

Availability:
· Weekdays, Mon-Friday 8 am to 5 pm
· Periodic remote coverage Weekdays 5 pm to 10 pm and weekends/Holidays 8 am to 10 pm (coverage is compensated)
· Willingness to travel to the Portland, Oregon, area once a month.
