Web Designer

Job Description:
The Web Designer is responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly websites and digital assets that align with branding and marketing goals. This role demands a strong grasp of web design tools and technologies, a deep understanding of user experience (UX) and UI principles, and the ability to translate static designs (from tools like PSD, Canva, Figma) into fully functional WordPress websites. Experience with Elementor and similar page builders is a strong advantage.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, professionalism, and technical skill, and should be capable of managing end-to-end web design projects independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design graphic user interface elements like menus, tabs, widgets, and navigation systems.
• Create responsive website designs, custom graphics, and digital assets that are both functional and visually engaging.
• Produce high-quality UX/UI design solutions including wireframes, flow diagrams, site maps, mockups, storyboards, and prototypes.
• Convert designs made in PSD, Canva, Figma, or similar tools into fully responsive WordPress websites, using Elementor or other builders when necessary.
• Apply principles of e-sign, typography, layout composition, colour theory, and branding to maintain visual consistency across all materials.
• Ensure designs are optimized for various devices and browsers, meeting accessibility and performance standards.
• Collaborate with clients or internal stakeholders to understand project goals, target audiences, and user journeys.
• Conduct UX problem-solving and layout improvements based on feedback and usability testing.
• Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs; basic HTML and CSS knowledge is required for effective collaboration.
• Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Figma), and best practices.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Present design concepts, collect feedback, and iterate as needed.
• Perform quality checks and address design-related issues with the development team.
• Maintain and enhance digital branding across all web materials.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in web design, graphic design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
• Easily works with Bootstrap and similar CSS framework
• Expertise in cross-browser compatibility and bug-free responsive HTML coding
• Additional working knowledge of Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Visio, iOS, Android, Design Systems, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• 4+ years of professional graphic and web design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing various web design projects.
• Proficiency in web design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch).
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Familiarity with web development technologies and frameworks is a plus
