Job description

This is a remote position.

About the Role

We’re looking for a versatile, creative Video Editor to join our lean, high-output team. In this role, you’ll work across a wide range of projects — from organic social content and YouTube videos to high-impact ad creatives, product demos, and internal experiments. If it’s a video, you might touch it.

We’re a startup — so no two days will look the same. One day you might be turning around a product tutorial on a tight deadline, the next you’re editing a high-performing ad or chopping up an organic for social. The only constant is quality and speed.

This is a high-impact, highly visible role. Your work will shape how millions experience VideoGen online and across platforms.

Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday; 9am-6pm PST (San Francisco, CA)

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit high-performing short-form and long-form video content for platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Meta

  • Create scroll-stopping ad creatives, trailers, product walkthroughs, and social promos

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, content, and product teams to bring ideas to life quickly

  • Stay on top of editing trends, formats, and best practices across platforms

  • Bring a sharp editorial eye and storytelling sensibility to every project

  • Adapt and iterate fast based on performance data and feedback

Qualifications
  • 1–6 years of professional video editing experience — agency, in-house, or freelance

  • Strong reel/portfolio showcasing editing for digital platforms, especially ads or organic content

  • Proficient in tools like Adobe Premiere ProAfter Effects, or Final Cut Pro.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple video projects in parallel

  • Bonus: Experience with motion graphics, sound design, or scripting

  • Bonus: Basic familiarity with tools like Canva and Notion for cross-functional collaboration
