What you'll do here:
Use shared templates and processes to take the product from hypothesis to implementation
Evaluate the impact of current content strategy and product pedagogy using established quantitative and qualitative metrics. Identify and detail content requirements, and review available content for re-use
Collaborate with authors and team members, seeking out varied perspectives and expertise. Using a shared set of metrics, evaluate new content and learning objectives for pedagogical appropriateness
Apply Cengage’s quality learning standards to products, solutions, and daily work, in accordance with well-researched guidelines and established protocols; adopt opportunities for continuous improvement. Advocate for improvements in accessibility and inclusivity in all aspects of your solutions.
Serve as the learning design specialist in a cross-functional team of professionals in business strategy, marketing, content creation, and production
Apply learning science and digital learning methodologies to assigned products, courses, and subject areas
Cultivate innovation and quality, looking for opportunities to improve the lives of our learners through quality learning design
Communicate optimally, through strong verbal and written skills, including audience-centric analysis, persuasion, influence, and documentation
Collaborate with peers, using interpersonal savvy in problem-solving, making trade-offs, and building rapport
Handle sophisticated, long-range projects and multiple partners in a dynamic remote-work environment
Skills you will need here:
BA/BS in Education; Master’s level education with curriculum development or related or teaching experience in higher ed or technical/career ed preferred
Educational or professional background in instructional design, learning design or related
Minimum of 5 years of experience
Experience in designing inclusive, diverse content
Proven dedication to continuous professional improvement and learning
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and file-sharing tools
Ability to work remotely, preferably in the Eastern or Central Time Zone
Experience in corporate environment

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
