We have an exciting, new opportunity for a Senior DoD Program Manager (Senior Principal Engineer), supporting our Montrose Environmental Group team, the premier environmental services provider.
Montrose is a mission-driven and fast-growing environmental consulting and engineering firm with offices nationwide and globally. Montrose holds active contracts with the US Air Force, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, US Coast Guard, US EPA, GSA, and other federal agencies and supports DoD and other federal projects nationwide. For these federal public sector projects, Montrose provides environmental engineering, remediation, HTRW site assessment and investigations, compliance, emerging contaminant treatment, in-house laboratory analysis, toxicology, and data validation. Montrose is looking for motivated professionals with solid technical skills and strong entrepreneurial spirit to facilitate their personal growth and success of our team.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As Senior DoD Program Manager, you will lead a strong team of committed professionals. This role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Develop strategy and executable plans to grow business line or practice, providing guidance to senior leaders across Montrose
Provide leadership in the development of relationships with new and existing clients
Engage in direct sales activities with government clients and other consultants for the purpose of winning new federal projects
Enhance delivery of Montrose benefits to clients by ensuring strategies and work plans of program components are responsively adapted to outcomes and changes in federal strategy
Participate and serve in leadership role in local trade organizations (e.g., Society of American Military Engineers)
Serve as capture manager for major proposal efforts
Prepare proposals and cost estimates
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs
Participate in the company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops
Perform other duties as assigned
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Geology, or related field
Registered Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist in one or more US states
15+ years of experience managing projects remediation, site assessment, and HTRW projects
10+ years of experience managing DoD projects and programs with special emphasis on US Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) and/or US Army Environmental Command.
Located in San Antonio, Texas
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams at all levels, with proven ability to collaborate and develop relationships and teams across an organization
