The Program Manager – IT will be responsible for managing and overseeing multiple projects within the IT department, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving the execution of large-scale, complex technology initiatives. This role requires excellent leadership skills, deep technical understanding, and a proactive approach to risk management and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT programs from initiation to completion, ensuring all objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to define program goals, scope, and timelines. Act as the primary point of contact for program-related updates and concerns.
  • Project Coordination: Oversee and coordinate multiple projects under the program, managing interdependencies and ensuring proper integration across all teams and systems.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues within the program, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve challenges to avoid delays or quality issues.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources efficiently, ensuring optimal utilization across program activities.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular status reports, including program progress, risks, issues, and changes to stakeholders at all levels. Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance records.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that IT deliverables meet organizational standards and best practices, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in program or project management, preferably in IT, technology, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects and programs, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certifications are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT service management, cloud computing, or infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Scrum, or other relevant frameworks.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment.
