Job description

JOB TITLE:

Document Management- Microsoft Developer/Analyst Veterinary Medicine Research and Development (VMRD)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will design, build and enhance key systems and products in our document management technology suite of platforms.  This will include participation in best-practice definition within a larger team applicable to internal and regulatory policies and standards.  Specific responsibilities for this position include:

  • Lead in the design, development and maintenance of standardized document management systems, tools and business processes used within VMRD in accordance to agreed strategies.
  • Champion Digitial Fluency within VMRD through adoption of Zoetis licensed Microsoft technical capablities for the larger group and provide user support and training on the use of standardized document management systems and capabilities. Troubleshoot and provide solutions and recommendations to ensure effective support.
  • Provide technical support for the management of VMRD standard document templates.
  • Manage departmental information resources and repositories.
  • Provide technical support  for VMRD departments on electronic document scanning, storage, indexing and/or search & retrieval.
  • Maintain a good understanding of document management and regulatory submission publishing best-practice.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in emerging trends and technology advancements in areas related to document management and regulatory submission publishing and transfer.  Maintain awareness and develop expertise of Zoetis and VMRD related technologies  to ensure full advantage is taken of these technologies when appropriate.
  • Represent Document Management on cross-departmental initiatives within VMRD and Zoetis as required and support management on process improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Educational Background:

            Minimum: 

  • Degree or equivalent experience (BS, BSc, BA, MS/MA)

            Desirable: 

  • Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a scientific discipline

Work Experience/Skills:

            Minimum: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of document management principles and best practices, document management technology, systems architecture, software development, computer systems validation, project management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, and the Microsoft application development tool suite, including SharePoint, Power Apps, VBA macro
  • Strong knowledge of Windows environment and programming tools (e.g. VB/VBA, VBScript, HTML, XML, REST, Power Apps, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge with managing and configuring document systems for large-scale/enterprise use (e.g. Veeva Vault or SharePoint)
  • Experience with InfoPath, PowerApps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft  tools and configuration
  • Experience in developing Word templates with macros
  • Thorough understanding of current software design methodologies and project management technique
  • Broad understanding of the technologies, processes, and logistical considerations of supporting electronic regulatory submissions for the US (understanding of EU considerations desirable)
  • Excellent skills in the following competencies: organizing, planning, time management, quality, attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with very good written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve and provide

            Desirable:

  • 2-5 years of comprehensive experience working within pharmaceutical R&D business function in a document management specialty
  • Help desk management and understanding of the IT work processes
  • Ability to author technical documentation
  • Broad understanding of the International Cooperation on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Veterinary Products (VICH) and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs)
  • Broad understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
  • Broad understanding of Zoetis VMRD functional lines and business processes

HRBP TO PROVIDE SALARY RANGE

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in (Colorado). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $64,000 - $93,000

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.

Base Pay Range: $73,000 - $105,000

[This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation.] [The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.]
