Sr. Data Analyst- Commercial Reporting and Analytics

Your role:

The Sr. Data Analyst- Commercial Reporting and Analytics will be responsible for leading and driving data and analytics strategies across the Commercial Space (Sales & Marketing). This role will focus on leveraging data to create actionable insights, build intuitive dashboards, and enhance data-driven decision-making. The D&A Champion will act as a key liaison between business teams and IT, ensuring best practices in data governance, analytics methodologies, and reporting consistency across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive commercial and people-related improvements.

Your responsibilities:

Data Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the data and analytics strategy for the commercial teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish and support Business Process Owners to ensure accuracy and consistency in critical data.
  • Partner cross-functionally with IT and business teams to resolve data quality issues and establish standardized definitions for key metrics.
  • Work as a liaison between business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Utilize benchmarking and external data sources to provide competitive insights and drive strategic decisions.

Reporting, Dashboards & Insights

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reports and dashboards that drive business decisions.
  • Use design thinking and lean methodologies to create reports and visualizations that tell the story behind commercial data.
  • Refine and consolidate the commercial reporting suite to ensure consistent and effective access to reporting and analytics. Consistently seek to understand what business problems need to be solved by reporting and ensure the availability of corresponding reports and dashboards.
  • Ensure reporting best practices are followed by using Design System Management (DSM) principles for self-service analytics.

Business Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Commercial Leaders to identify data needs, prioritize analytics initiatives, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Educate and train business users on self-service reporting and analytics tools.
  • Serve as a trusted data and analytics partner, influencing business leaders with fact-based insights and strategic guidance.

Technology & Tools

  • Utilize Databricks, Power BI, Excel, D365, Salesforce, and other systems for data analysis and reporting.
  • Lead integration of data from commercial reporting into enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Continuously explore new methodologies and automation opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or commercial operations.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets, create visualizations, and generate insights that drive business performance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.
  • Experience with Standard SQL, Insights reporting and Power BI tabular model.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

Good to have:

  • Background in Commercial Reporting and Analytics.
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to align data strategy with business goals.
  • Experience working with external data vendors to enhance analytics capabilities.

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $86,200.00 - $114,915.90, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 10% Annual.
