Job description

Fortrea is looking for a visionary DevSecOps leader to drive our enterprise-wide transformation in cloud automation, secure development practices, and scalable delivery frameworks using Azure DevOps. This is a strategic role where you'll define and lead the DevSecOps roadmap, helping to shape the future of how we build, deploy, and secure software across the organization. Your focus will span everything from CI/CD pipeline design to infrastructure automation and the implementation of modern engineering standards.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor and technical authority, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. You'll enable teams through the rollout of self-service tooling, reusable templates, and governance frameworks that support efficient and compliant development. This is an exciting opportunity to set the direction for how DevSecOps is practiced at scale—ensuring speed, security, and reliability in everything we do.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and rollout of DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps

  • Drive the execution of the DevSecOps adoption strategy and roadmap

  • Define and maintain Azure DevOps architecture standards focused on scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness

  • Lead the design and implementation of secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern automation tooling

  • Oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure

  • Act as a product owner for DevSecOps tooling - delivering standards, governance, and enablement frameworks

  • Partner with Security, Cloud, Engineering, and Compliance to scale secure DevOps capabilities

  • Champion engineering enablement through reusable templates, self-service platforms, and knowledge sharing

  • Mentor and develop DevSecOps champions across delivery teams and lead capability-building programs

  • Standardize the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and lead implementation of test automation strategies

  • Define and track KPIs (e.g. metrics, cost optimization, compliance), ensuring continuous improvement

    • Ability to influence and mentor teams to drive DevSecOps maturity

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • Proven expertise in Terraform and other IaC tools for automating deployments

  • Extensive experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design and automation frameworks

  • Strong grasp of DevSecOps principles and integrating security into automated workflows
