Fortrea is looking for a visionary DevSecOps leader to drive our enterprise-wide transformation in cloud automation, secure development practices, and scalable delivery frameworks using Azure DevOps. This is a strategic role where you'll define and lead the DevSecOps roadmap, helping to shape the future of how we build, deploy, and secure software across the organization. Your focus will span everything from CI/CD pipeline design to infrastructure automation and the implementation of modern engineering standards.
In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor and technical authority, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. You'll enable teams through the rollout of self-service tooling, reusable templates, and governance frameworks that support efficient and compliant development. This is an exciting opportunity to set the direction for how DevSecOps is practiced at scale—ensuring speed, security, and reliability in everything we do.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Lead the design and rollout of DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps
Drive the execution of the DevSecOps adoption strategy and roadmap
Define and maintain Azure DevOps architecture standards focused on scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness
Lead the design and implementation of secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and modern automation tooling
Oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure
Act as a product owner for DevSecOps tooling - delivering standards, governance, and enablement frameworks
Partner with Security, Cloud, Engineering, and Compliance to scale secure DevOps capabilities
Champion engineering enablement through reusable templates, self-service platforms, and knowledge sharing
Mentor and develop DevSecOps champions across delivery teams and lead capability-building programs
Standardize the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and lead implementation of test automation strategies
Define and track KPIs (e.g. metrics, cost optimization, compliance), ensuring continuous improvement
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 7 years of experience in DevOps roles, with at least 3 years as a DevOps Architect
Soft Skills:
Strategic thinker with a passion for enablement and continuous improvement
Leadership experience, with a history of guiding teams and driving cultural change
Strong communication and advocacy skills to promote DevSecOps adoption
Ability to influence and mentor teams to drive DevSecOps maturity
Experience (Minimum Required):
Proven expertise in Terraform and other IaC tools for automating deployments
Extensive experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design and automation frameworks
Strong grasp of DevSecOps principles and integrating security into automated workflows
Proven track record of driving DevOps transformations, roadmap execution, and cross-functional collaboration
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance metrics to track DevOps success
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly in Azure environments

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
