This is a remote position.

Job Title: WordPress Web Developer & Designer

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Miami, FL Time (1-hour unpaid break)
Location: Remote
 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative WordPress Web Developer & Designer to join our team. This role requires a strong grasp of both front-end design and back-end development within the WordPress environment. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining modern, responsive, and user-friendly websites that align with our brand and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop responsive WordPress websites from concept to launch

  • Customize themes and plugins to meet specific project needs

  • Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing websites

  • Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and performance

  • Ensure mobile compatibility and cross-browser functionality

  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and development teams to bring designs to life

  • Implement UI/UX best practices to enhance site usability

  • Monitor website performance and conduct regular testing and updates


Requirements:

  • Proven experience with WordPress development and design

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL

  • Experience with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or similar

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or Figma for UI/UX design

  • Familiarity with SEO principles and site optimization techniques

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics and design

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with WooCommerce, custom post types, and ACF

  • Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) standards

  • Understanding of Git version control

  • Familiarity with hosting, DNS settings, and site migrations
