About the Role:
The Senior Accounting Manager will help oversee the monthly close process, preparing financial statements and key reconciliations involving large data sets and requiring application of technical accounting knowledge. The candidate should be a self starter and excited to learn new products and processes. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive critical projects and process improvements in a fast paced environment and summarize status updates to the accounting lead.
Reponsibilities:
Manage parts of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process
Prepare reconciliations not limited to cash, AP and AR reconciliations cross systems
Assist with preparation of monthly financial packages, including but not limited to profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow analyses.
Work closely with accounting leads to ensure cohesive project execution
Prepare input workbooks to financial statement footnotes as requested by the team
Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of data sets to ensure accuracy for financial statement input
Prepare journal entry templates for review
Work with accounting leads to prepare audit support as requested
Assist in system implementation projects including data input and validation
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting/financial reporting
Experience in Lending and or Fintech industry is a plus (high growth company)
Skillset:
Experience with NetSuite or similar to ERP
Strong skillset in Microsoft Office
Experience with large data sets, requiring review for accuracy and completeness and summarization to an output (ie Journal Entry, Management Report)
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills
