This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a EMEA Customs Program Manager in Istanbul with Signify.
Coordination of Customs brokers
- Main contact point for customs brokers in the EU where Signify does not have a local customs team (clearance instruction where needed and performance monitoring).
- Support customs brokerage initiatives (new broker implementation, rationalization, monitoring existing brokers) in the EU and MEA.
Flows engineering to support local EU and MEA organizations
- Support local organizations on their customs-related needs on special flows: samples, returns, etc.
- Flow engineering: participate to flows setup with other stakeholders of the company, advising on customs prerequisites.
- Direct flows initiative: providing customs knowledge and support where needed.
Monitoring compliance and efficiency of customs processes and operations
- Ensure compliance and robustness of processes regarding origin, classification and valuation.
- Contribute to auditing correctness of clearance, with support of local teams.
Support eventual audit from Customs authorities across the region, including AEO renewals.
- Support as back-up regional compliance measures to export control and sanctions, control and monitoring export diversion risk and possible sanction’s circumvention.
Support global initiative for qualitative reporting and duty savings program
In collaboration with the EMEA Origin manager and local customs compliance officers:
- Drive initiative of import duty savings across the region, by leveraging, in compliance, the use of Free Trade Agreement where applicable.
- Analyze possible opportunities given by customs regimes & duty suspensions.
- Implement comprehensive reporting figures across the region, in line with standards defined by the Global Risk & Standards Manager.

- Internal: Global Trade Compliance, EMEA Trade & Customs team, CFH METAP, European CFHs, local logistics/customs contacts, Procurement, Engineering, Marketing.
- External: Customs brokers, Customs authorities where necessary.

Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a customs department
Advanced data analysis skills to support reporting and duty optimization
Communication skills and ability to partner with many departments within the company but also to communicate with customs authorities.
