Maintain, monitor, determine resource requirements, perform business continuity analysis, design and requirements definition, ensure network infrastructure availability and reliability, and administer the CMSU multi-server, multi-protocol, multi-topology and multi-operating system based local and remote network environment.
Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Maintain, monitor, administer, and design enterprise applications and Internet technologies.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

Lead small projects and participate in large projects that revolve around the support and enhancement of the CMSU network. This participation includes, but is not limited to: design and development of project plans and objectives; seeking appropriate management approvals; coordinate and schedule resources as necessary.
Provide direct and indirect end user support as it relates to PC network hardware and software issues.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Conduct regular security scans and monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
Carry out daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures - coordinate and communicate status updates.
Apply OS patches, perform system maintenance and upgrades during off hours. Upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
Upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.

Solid understanding of networking: TCP/IP, Ports, DNS, DHCP, Switch/Router config and security.
Solid Linux command line skills and scripting skills.
Familiarity with OpenStack, AWS (or other cloud services), git, Ansible, satellite.
Understanding of software development, with command of an object-oriented language, e.g., C++, C#, Java, Python, or other.
Working knowledge of PowerShell.
Working knowledge of LAN and WAN configuration and troubleshooting, backup software, VPNs, Firewall configuration and troubleshooting, and task automation via scripting.
Familiarity with VMware, Acronis, Docker, or other virtualization, container or sandbox technologies.
Experience with various storage technologies (e.g. NetApp, Hitachi).
Familiarity with Hyper-converged technologies (e.g. Nutanix, HyperFlex)
Experience with Microsoft Exchange/Skype and SharePoint.
Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and remain well organized in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of principles of Project Management desirable.
Solid understanding of Infrastructure security: WAF, Web site scan, layer3 and layer 7 firewall, Virus/Malware, cryptography, etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to perform independent research
Knowledge of PACS (picture archiving and communications system) preferred
Knowledge of DICOM (Digital Imaging Communications in Medicine) preferred

6 years Implementation, patching and configuration, Intermediate to advanced level hands-on-experience with Windows and Linux systems and networks. Experience installing, configuring and maintaining servers (e.g. web, mail, DNS, DHCP, telephony). Installation, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of LAN at Tier II level in Windows/Linux environment, computer hardware and software. Experience performing and assisting with equipment specification, setup, problem resolution, and network support related to computer hardware and software. Experience providing assistance to local/remote users, optimizing systems operations. Experience ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and system currency. Domain Administration and Active Directory.
Pay Information: Min. salary of $86,400 to max $139,100
