Digital screens such as Touch displays, Driver Information screen and HUD (Head Up Displays) into our Ford/Lincoln vehicles are becoming more and more relevant due the need to provide valuable information and enjoyable driving experiences to users while driving. The increasing need of safety and vehicle communication with driver make the Human Machine Interaction (HMI) a relevant area for our company to be competitive in the automotive world. New content and Driver Assistance features are constantly being created challenging our team to bring in new technologies and develop the best interface/interaction.

As UX / UI Architect you will collaborate with a global and cross functional team for discussing and defining the instrument cluster/HUD digital displays content and interaction principles and managing documentation and deliveries for the assigned project in support to Software implementation with internal Ford teams.

Responsibilities

What you'll do…

Develop cluster/HUD digital display graphics interactions which will include understanding existing and new features and how they will logically be implemented in existing digital instrument clusters or all new designs.
Translate consumer behaviors across vehicle segments to in-vehicle interactions
Translate consumer needs, business strategies and technological enablers into vehicle experiences
Support engineers creating interactive models to demonstrate the cluster/HUD interaction
Work closely with UI Architects to deliver production graphics for SW implementation in time.
Work with a global Driver Information teams to develop new features that will become part of the cluster digital display design.
Manage diverse collaborative teams of Engineers, Designers, Regulatory, Marketing, User Experience and Program Management individuals throughout the design to delivery process

Qualifications

What you'll need…

Strong english skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Automotive Systems Design or Human Machine Interface. Former UX / UI / Interaction Designer or other digital design related background preferred.
+3 years of experience in Product Development area.
Knowledge in Electrical and/or HMI Subsystems, UX (User Experience), UI (User Interface) .
Familiarity with product development since design concept to production and product development timelines.
Proficient on Microsoft Office, Adobe SC Suite and Figma and/or Axure.
Project management and planning skills.
Strong collaboration skills, proactivity, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly.

Even better if you have…

3D modelling software knowledge.
Usability Testing and Concept Validation experience.
Driver Assistance, digital Technologies and Design Thinking knowledge.
