What IT Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Quality Control analyzes and inspects Information Technology products and processes for compliance to internal and external specifications and standards. This job family collaborates with IT Project Management, Business Integration, and Application Development & Maintenance teams, among others, during implementation and integration projects to proactively identify compliance requirements and risks. Quality Control also conducts regular audits and develops and communicates new quality control procedures for the function.
Responsibilities
- Identify Opportunities for Automation: Determine which tests are best suited for automation based on their repetitiveness and potential for consistent execution.
- Design and Develop Automation Frameworks: Create the structure and tools needed to execute automated tests.
- Write and Maintain Test Scripts: Use programming languages and testing frameworks to create and maintain test scripts.
- Execute Automated Tests: Run the tests and analyze the results to identify bugs and quality issues.
- Understand supported, integrated applications and use that knowledge to ensure project scope is complete.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads: Work closely with developers to understand the software, identify potential testing areas, and resolve issues.
- Analyze Test Results and Report Issues: Identify and report defects, ensuring they are tracked and resolved effectively.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Suggest ways to improve the testing process, tools, and frameworks.
- Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in quality assurance, remaining up to date on current trends and best practices; leverage expertise to produce solutions that enable consistency and standardization and facilitate exceptional performance.
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Salesforce knowledge is highly preferred
- Familiarity with frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, or Rest-Assured
- Understanding of different testing methodologies (e.g., functional, performance, security)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo is a plus.
- Experience designing and implementing solutions for Test Automation required with Katalon test application experience, preferred.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft standard desktop applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with MS SQL.
- QMS knowledge, Azure DevOps, preferred.
- Experience writing detailed test cases.
- Pharmacy Systems knowledge, preferred.
- Agile methodology experience
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to ask probing questions, lead cross-functional meetings and provide clear status reports to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of management, technology and business partners

Anticipated salary range: $79,700 - $119,490
